Getting more done in less time is one of the most important skills you can learn in your business.
Internet Marketing Success can seem out of reach for many. When you know what to do then that reach does not seem so far. As an Internet Marketer, one of the most important skills that you should learn is time management. Why, because in addition to getting more done in less time, you will be able to come up with better online marketing strategies and plans for growing your online business. But the point here is, what exactly should you be doing to get the most out of your time? Exactly where does your focus need to be if you want to ensure that you can keep working in the right direction to make sure you finish things in time? I am about to teach you how to improve this specific skill with my 9 Best tactics to Get More Done in Less Time.
Tactic Number One
Take control of your calendar and see if there's some social life or even other meetings that you may need to sacrifice to get the work done. There are going to be times when you need to get out of your comfort zone so that you can actually get the things done that need to be done. Internet marketing isn't the easiest business model and that's why it's important to watch your calendar closely so that you won't spend too much time ignoring the things you need to accomplish. The amount of time you spend on unimportant things is going to astound you.

Tactic number Two
You have to have heard the phrase “Keep it simple stupid”? It's famous for real reasons and you can apply it to your work too. If you are faced with a particular task or job, you should look for a way to keep it as simple as possible and not spend too much time focusing on the complexities. Most of us will, as we work to keep things very simple, make them a lot more complicated, do not do this. Get a bird's eye view of the task from as broad a perspective as possible, divide it up into a few segments and get to work. There's absolutely no reason why something needs to be difficult when there could be a simpler route to it.
Tactic number Three
Set up your kitchen timer and work with it, it can raise your speed and your productivity too. This particular technique can help you achieve quite a lot because as you work against the time you have left you'll be pushed to work faster and you will get more done in less time. For example, if it takes you twenty minutes to finish a 500 word article, set the timer for ten minutes and see if you can't meet your deadline. Obviously, you need to make sure that the quality of your work doesn't go down in your attempt to do it quickly.

Tactic number Four
Get all of the distractions off of your computer, anything distracting can slow you down. The worst part about virtual distractions is that they can make you feel like you're actually working and then at the end of the day, you have absolutely nothing done. So close down all of your Instant Messaging applications like Skype, close out the RSS reader, don't check your email or do anything that could get in the way of your success as these are all distractions that keep you from being able to keep moving forward.
You need to identify those things that aren't helping you accomplish your tasks and that are getting in the way of your accomplishing your tasks, at least for the time being, get rid of them.

Tactic number Five
In your quest to get more done in less time, sometimes you will need external help. Understanding who to go to when you need help or assistance is a requirement in helping you get the boosts you seek. Once in a while you should definitely figure things out on your own because it will be a learning experience but there are going to also be times when it is better to look for help instead of wasting your time. Try to make every minute you spend in your workspace productive, if you have issues finding someone who can help you there's nothing wrong with that.
Tactic number Six
Improve your skills with online apps that will help you be more productive while releasing your workload. The internet is full of online tools that are great for helping you get much more accomplished during your day. My favorite online app is google drive. This by far helps me get more done in less time than any other app out there.
For example, creating to-do lists on paper is a good idea, but when you're managing virtual workload, isn't it a good idea to take care of your to-do lists online itself? You can use any number of online tools to manage your to-do lists. (I use google drive) This is just one example, there are lots of other productivity tools that can help you out too.
Tactic number Seven
Become an email ninja – a master of your mail inbox, and don't let email control you. The minute you feel like your email is taking over your life you need to understand that your productivity is waning and that is not good. Each step that you take toward managing your email inbox will go a long way toward helping you get the most out of the tasks you need to do. If there is an important email that you are waiting for or that needs to be taken care of then it deserves priority. But anything apart from that, let it take the backseat.

As someone who works in Internet Marketing, you are going to be spending lots of time on the computer and if you are smart in the approach you take with using your desktop or laptop, you'll see a big increase in your productivity. For example, by learning a few keyboard shortcuts, you'll be able to move from one thing to another quickly and multi task whenever you need to. You'll see that you'll be able to get a lot more done in less time far more quickly when you're very aware of good keyboard shortcuts. These days you will see that you can use keyboard shortcuts with online apps too–like with Gmail–so you should work on being smart instead of working too hard.
Tactic number Nine
You can get fantastic results by working consistently but there is a major difference between working consistently and working constantly. When you're doing nothing but work, you'll definitely look busy and move forward, but it'll also burn you out. When you want to be more productive and get more from your abilities you'll need to take some time to recharge now and then. Go out to dinner, workout a few times a week, spend quality time with your friends, etc. This could help you feel like you are wasting time, but you're actually being smart and enabling yourself to get more from your time.
